“This opportunity will not come again,” Nawaz gives a video message

Erstwhile premier Nawaz Sharif, while en route to Pakistan, gave a video message Friday morning which was released on Twitter by his daughter Maryam Nawaz.

Nawaz stressed that this particular event is very pivotal in current political scenario, he said while pointing out his journey back to Pakistan leading to his arrest upon arrival.

“We must change the country’s future.This opportunity will not come again,” he urged and asked his followers to support him at every step.

“I have done all that I could. I know I have been sentenced for 10 years and that I will be taken straight to prison,” he said while sitting in the airplane.

“I have to enlighten the Pakistani nation that I am doing this for them. I am giving this sacrifice for your future generations…for Pakistan’s future,” Nawaz added.

Former Pakistani prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz Sharif are to be arrested at Abu Dhabi airport in United Arab Emirates (UAE) later in the day, according to reports. The two will be kept in Adiala jail in Rawalpindi for a day before being transferred to the Attock Fort prison.

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has sent its three-member team to Abu Dhabi to take into custody former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz as they touch down the airport.

Nawaz Sharif was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment and fined eight million pounds in the Avenfield Reference case by an accountability court, which awarded seven years jail to Maryam besides a fine of two million pounds.
