In a letter sent to the secretary, ministry of civil aviation, Election Commission of India expressed "serious displeasure over the non-compliance it Commission's lawful instructions and the lackadaisical approach in enforcing the Model Code of Conduct." The commission also directed the ministry to report the action taken within a week's time.
