Kobler hails Sindh police move to recruit transgender persons
ISLAMABAD: German Ambassador to Pakistan Martin Kobler has appreciated Sindh police move to recruit transgender persons in the force, ARY News reported on Wednesday.
Mr Kobler is known for his vibrant social media presence and he makes no secret of anything beautiful he comes across in Pakistan.
In a tweet, Mr Kobler wrote, “Great decision of Sindh Police to include transgenders in the line defence. Welldone Dr.Kaleem! Inclusion of every community into mainstream is very important.”
“It’ll protect & empower the vulnerable! transgenders r equal part of society!! Lets c who is next to follow this decision”, he continued in his tweet.

Earlier on April 1, Sindh Inspector General of Police Dr Syed Kaleem Imam had said for the first time transgender persons will be given employment in Sindh Police.

In a statement, the Sindh IGP said measures would be taken to provide employments to minority community as well.
He said quota for special persons was being restored in police department.
