Lady doctor who misbehaved with police in Islamabad arrested

 ISLAMABAD: The lady doctor who argued and misbehaved with police personnel in the federal capital’s diplomatic enclave has been arrested and shifted to the Women Police Station Islamabad.

As per details, the woman, identified as Dr Shehla, was arrested from Rawalpindi DHA Phase 2.

A day earlier, the lady doctor, who was driving a vehicle having no number plate, had tried to enter Islamabad’s diplomatic enclave and misbehaved with the police personnel after being barred from entering the area.

She had also reportedly extended threats to the policemen.

Subsequently, a case was registered against her for belting out insults and obstructing the police in discharge of their duties.

Minister of State for Interior Shehryar Afrid took notice of the incident and summoned an inquiry report from relevant police officials.

He issued directives for action against the woman as per laws, saying no one is VIP in “Naya Pakistan” and everyone is equal before law.
