Sensex loses 100 points to close shade above 34,500

At the end of a largely range bound day, Sensex and Nifty lost almost half a per cent each. The 30-share BSE index lost 115.37 points to close at 34,501.27. The broader 50-share Nifty slipped below the 10,600-mark on losing 43.80 points.
