England's Steve Finn and Moeen Ali ruled out of tour match after training injuries
- Finn jars knee and Moeen is suffering from a side strain
- England play a WA XI in a two-day pre-Ashes match this weekend
England’s Ashes tour met its first speed-bump since arriving on Australian soil with the news that Moeen Ali and Steven Finn will undergo scans on injuries on Friday, and will not play a part in this weekend’s opening tour match against a West Australian XI at the Waca Ground on Saturday.
Moeen has suffered pain in his left side in recent days so sat out the squad’s centre-wicket practice at Perth’s Richardson Park, while Finn injured his left knee batting in the nets. Both scans will take place on Friday afternoon.
