Met officer is alleged to have assaulted photographer during Labour leader’s rally in north Wales on final day of election campaign

A criminal investigation is under way after a police protection officer at a Jeremy Corbyn rally is alleged to have assaulted a photographer during the Labour leader’s rally in north Wales on the final day of the general election campaign.

The Independent Police Complaints Commission said it was investigating a Metropolitan police officer from the royalty and specialist protection command during the rally in Colwyn Bay on 7 June.
