Hasty decisions deny justice: CJP Saqib Nisar

Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar said on Sunday that a hasty decision amounted to justice being denied.

Speaking at the Women Judges Conference in Lahore, Justice Nisar stressed that judges have to uphold the Constitution and give judgments within the parameters set by the law.
“No judge can give rulings that are against the Constitution,” he said adding that for this judges need to have complete understanding of laws.

Justice Nisar also said adherence to the due process of law it must be ensured to improve the quality of justice.
The chief justice said the Constitution of Pakistan has guaranteed equal rights to all citizens including women and children.
