12 years ago Mary Kom and her husband Onler Karong Kom brought S. Nengneihat Kom and Ningthoujam Rohit Singh to their home and started training them at their boxing academy. The duo had lost their parents, battling hunger and sickness. Today Nengneihat,21, is a senior national women's boxing bronze medalist and Rohit,16, is the current Manipur state champion.
